The afternoon started under the red brick of an old factory yard, the kind of light that makes everything look intentional. By evening we'd crossed half of Wola, ending among the glass towers just as a passing rain left the pavement mirror-still. Nothing about the route was planned, we just kept walking until the light ran out.
